Our next tournament will be significantly smaller than WPPRmania was, but oddly enough, it’s the “Main Event” component of WPPRmania!
Starting at noon, we will run 12 rounds of 3 or 4 player Match Play matches, alternating between games that have historically run longer and shorter (not quite “Moderns” and “Classics”, but you get the idea). Scores will be PAPA style based on finish (7-5-3-1). After round one, pairings will continue in a tiered Swiss-style pairing for 11 more rounds. A tiebreak game will be played if necessary to split top 2 seeds or anyone playing into the top 8. Automatic tiebreakers will be used for all other positions. The top 8 players will move on to bank style 4-game, 4 Player Match Play finals, with the top 2 advancing to the next round. Players not making the final round will compete in two rounds of stallball for prizes!
For the WPPR hounds among us, this will calculate out to 160% TGP and will be in the neighborhood of 24 WPPRs to the winner. Such Wow! Much impress!
We anticipate, based on past tournaments, the Matchplay portion to take roughly 4-5 hours, and the finals to take an additional 2-3 hours. We have run this format before and feel confident in these time estimates.

Registration will open at Noon Eastern on May 12th, and will remain open until 32 spots are filled. At that time, the registration link will be posted at the top of the event page on TheLowerPlayfield.com. Once/If 32 spots are filled, waitlist registration will remain open until the week before the tournament on June 10th. Payment of fees within 72h of registration via PayPal/Venmo will be required. If you prefer cash at the door, and have played in 2 past tournaments at Lower Playfield before, we will accept cash at the door. Please contact Derek or Jordan directly to confirm you will be doing so, or your registration may be cancelled. If you are registering for multiple people (Friends/Siblings/Children/Alien Overlords) please fill out the form twice!

Registration fees will be fully refundable until June 10th. After June 10th, refund requests will be accepted less the house fee. Exceptions made on a case-by-case basis.
