DESCRIPTION:Save the Date: April 26th\, 2025.\nRegistration Opens March 8th at noon. Registration Form: https://forms.gle/AT8PaAJPyfQbSktA7\nOne Day. Three Tournaments. Three Champions. WPPRMania III.\n\nApril 26th\, 2025 at The Lower Playfield\n3 Tournaments. 1 Epic Day. All tournaments at this event will be IFPA sanctioned.\nEvents 1 and 3 are eligible for Ice Ice Playfield Tournament Series points. More information is here.\nDoors at 9 AM\, Tournaments start at 10. We expect the last participants of Strikes to wrap up around 11:30 PM. Most participants in tournament 3 will wrap up before 10 PM. Prepare for a long\, full day of pinball!\n$75 all in — all tournament entries\, drinks\, snacks\, dinner\, desserts\, and IFPA fees included.\nRegistration begins March 8th at Noon\nWPPRMania has a strict 32 player limit. Due to the chaos of WPPRMania\, we must insist on no non-competitors at this tournament. Thank you for understanding!\n$75 per player ($20 Main Tournament entry\, $10 Battle Royale entry ($5 to tourney\, $5 to bonus pot)\, $15 Survivor Series entry\, $30 house fee (for trophies\, free play\, electricity offset\, dinner\, snacks and drinks\, and IFPA endorsement fees)) is due via Paypal/Venmo within one week of registration. There is no option for opting out of/in to a subset of tournaments (with the exception of Main Event finalists opting out of and refunding their Rumble fee).\nWPPRMania entries must be paid in full within one week of registration. Due to the incredible overhead of the tournament\, we must insist in all fees being paid in advance — either online or in person. If you cannot pay online at registration\, you must reach out to hello @ thelowerplayfield . com to make arrangements\, or you will be moved to the waitlist. Now returning for the third year\, WPPRMania is back for the third time! Play in 3 fun tournaments and have an opportunity to reset each time if it doesn’t go your way! Or be the one to unite the championships! \nOne day. 3 tournaments. Catered dinner included. Lots of pinball\, probably foot soreness. WPPRMania returns! \nCome ready for a long\, grueling day of pinball. Prepare — for WPPRMania III! \nEvent 1: The Main Event (9 rounds of Matchplay Double Ups\, Matchplay finals)\nEvent 1 will consist of 4-player matchplay groups playing a long-play and short-play game using IFPA Scoring (7-5-3-1). All pairings for this event will be balanced except for round 9\, which will be swiss. Top 8 total points at the end of 9 rounds will go to Finals (tiebreaks for seeding are number of 1-2 finishes\, any exact point ties on the cut line will be broken in a single game playoff). \nAny players not present at the start of this tournament will not be entered into the tournament for that round. You may be inserted into subsequent rounds\, but you will be at a severe disadvantage. Please arrive on time for a prompt start. \nFinals will be 4 player\, 4 game banks scored PAPA 4-2-1-0 format. Highest Seeds will have choice of three\, pre-selected banks to play on. All 8 finalists will receive cash prizes. Play order on game 1 will be chosen from the 2nd highest seed\, moving to 3rd highest\, 4th highest\, and finally the player who picked the bank. On subsequent games\, the player who came in 4th on the prior game will have first choice of order\, followed by 3rd\, 2nd\, and the prior game winner. Any players tied after 3 games for advancement will play a single\, randomly drawn short play game that was not in the bank. A player may only pick a bank once in finals. \nThe final 4 seeding will be determined by finish order in the qualifying tournament. \nIn the case of a machine breaking down before banks are selected\, the Tournament Organizer will announce a replacement game during selection. \nThis tournament will be worth 200% TGP value. \nEvent 2: Royal Rumble (2 hour Flip Frenzy\, 4 player Matchplay final)\nEvent 2 will run concurrently with the finals of Event 1. Flip Frenzy will run for 2 hours concurrent with the main event finals. Finals will be a 3 game\, 4 player final scored 4-2-1-0. During event 2\, you can not play side games while waiting\, due to two tournaments being run concurrently. You may be put on a game directly next to the other tournament. Please extend the same courtesy you would during any tournament to your fellow competitors. \nPer IFPA regulations\, this tournament will allow finalists from the other tournament to participate at their discretion. Main Event finalists who chose to also participate in the Royal Rumble will be subject to an additional $10 entry fee which will go directly to the bonus pot. Participants in both Main Event finals and this tournament will have 1 minute to report to either game when not in play. Participants of both the Royal Rumble finals and Main Event finals are not eligible for bonus pot payouts. \nTGP value will be estimated to be 60%. \nDinner Break:\nDinner will once again be catered from Puritan Backroom. We’ll figure out how to make sure you are fed! \nEvent 3: Survivor Series (9 Progressive Strikes\, Double Fast Banks)\nEvent 3 will be a 9 progressive strike knockout (0-1-2-3 strikes for 4 player groups\, 0-1-2 for 3 player groups). Rounds will be “Short Play\, Short Play\, Long Play” and repeating in that order every 3 rounds until 1 player remains. Initial pairings will be random\, then fully swissed after the first round for fairness. \nTop 8 get cash prizes. \nAnticipated TGP is 21\, or 84%. \nDefending Champions:\nDefending Champions may elect to have a registration place\, and optionally a +1\, held for them prior to registration starting. Additional money will be added from any Main Event finalists buying in to this tournament as well. \n\n1st: $35 + 2 shares of the bonus pot + Trophy and a registration exemption to the next hosted WPPRMania\n2nd: $35 + 1 share of the bonus pot and finalist medal\n3rd: $30 + 1 share of the bonus pot and finalist medal\n4th: $20 + 1 share of the bonus pot and finalist medal\nBonus Pot payouts will be divided by the number of shares of eligible winners (players only playing in one final or another).
