SUMMARY:Friday Night Flips Episode 11: Granite State Rematch
DESCRIPTION:Friday Night Flips is a series of 4 player match play get togethers at The Lower Playfield. 4 players will compete on the games downstairs in 4-2-1-0 matches until a player hits 21 points. They will be the winner! Each player will put in an ante to the match and the winner goes home with it all. Learn more about Friday Night Flips and watch past episodes on our dedicated Friday Night Flips page. \nAll the fun of the Lower Playfield\, now available wherever you are! All the action will be broadcast on Twitch at twitch.tv/TheLowerPlayfield starting at 7:00 PM. \nEpisode 11: Granite State Rematch\nAs pinball playing hopefuls all get ready for the return of IFPA North Americas Championship Series in January\, we bring you the kind of matchup that Friday Night Flips was originally conceived to bring you: a return of the top 4 finishers from 2023 New Hampshire states finals. Held last January at Port City Pinball\, a rematch a year in the making: \n\nDerek Correia finished last year’s NH states in 4th place\, after losing to Zheanna for the third straight year\, then Brian in the 3/4th match. He is one of the owners and operators of The Lower Playfield\, and is excited to have this as a break in to prep for States in January.\nZheanna Murray is 2023’s runner up for NH State Champion. A fantastic player with wins all over New England\, she will be looking for another win before 2024 States.\nBrian O’Neill is a former state champ\, proprietor at Port City Pinball\, a multi-time TLP tournament winner\, and the 3rd place finisher in last year’s state championship. Brian is always a threat to win any matchup he is in.\nJill Towne may not be known as well as the runner up outside New England\, but here she is known as a top player with fantastic control skills and game knowledge. She is the reigning state champion who will be gearing up to defend her crown\, as well as prepping to run WNACS the day after NACS states.\n\nOn commentary: \n\nJordan Knights joins the booth for the 5th time\, to bring deep insight in the collection at TLP.\nWill Parks has graciously decided to call this matchup\, his 6th appearance calling Friday Night Flips.

SUMMARY:2024 IFPA NACS New Hampshire Open Championship
DESCRIPTION:Tournament Details\n\nJanuary 18th\, 2024 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.\nOpen to the top 16 confirmed qualifiers in IFPA NACS NH State standings.\nDoors and start time: 10:30\, Start Time: 11 AM.\n\nThe Lower Playfield is proud to host the 2024 NACS Championship for NH. While we are hosting this tournament\, we are not directing this tournament. If you have questions\, please reach out to Brian O’Neill\, IFPA NH State Rep. \nFacebook Event (official tournament link) \nDoors: 10:30am\nStarts at 11am \nPlayers will be placed in a single elimination bracket once the seedings have been completed. \nFirst round pairings are as follows: \n1 vs. 16\, 2 vs. 15\, 3 vs. 14\, 4 vs. 13\,\n5 vs. 12\, 6 vs. 11\, 7 vs. 10\, 8 vs. 9 \nSecond round pairings are as follows: \n1/16 winner vs. 8/9 winner\, 2/15 winner vs. 7/10 winner\,\n3/14 winner vs. 6/11 winner\, 4/13 winner vs. 5/12 winner \nThird round pairings are as follows: \n1/8/9/16 winner vs. 4/5/12/13 winner\,\n2/7/10/15 winner vs. 3/6/11/14 winner \nFourth round pairing are as follows: \nTwo winners of round 3 play for the State Championship\nTwo losers of round 3 player in the Consolation Final for 3rd/4th place. \nEach match will be a race to 4 wins (unless a match is tied 3-3 after 6 games where a sudden death tiebreaker will be played – see below). At the start of the match each player will choose an ‘OLD’\, ’MID’ and ’NEW’ machine. The lower seeded player will choose the first machine\, followed by the higher seeded player choosing the second machine. This picking order will continue until all 6 games have been chosen. A machine may not be picked more than once in the same match. Once a player verbally makes any choice regarding machine or position\, they are locked into that decision. \nThe higher seed will first choose whether they want to start on one of their own choices\, or one of the lower seed’s choices. Position will be based on who originally selected the machine before the match started. The player that did not have the machine as a part of their three choices will have choice of position on that particular machine. The match will alternate between machines chosen by each player\, until all 6 games are completed. Should a player reach 4 wins before all 6 games are completed\, no further games should be played. If the higher seeded player chooses to start on one of their machine choices\, they will choose game number 1\, 3 and 5 in the match (from their 3 picks). The lower seeded player would then be choosing game number 2\, 4 and 6 in the match (from their 3 picks). \nShould the match be tied after these 6 games\, the match will move to ‘Sudden Death’. This will be a single game where any of the remaining machines are available to be chosen. The higher seeded player will have choice of machine or position for this ‘Sudden Death’ game. \nEach player will have the opportunity for 30 seconds of practice time before starting every game of every match. This is to ensure that both players have a chance to get familiar with the machine. \nThe winner of the match advances to the next round\, while the loser is eliminated. \nThe 3rd/4th place Consolation Final will be played as a best-of-three instead of a best-of-seven like all other rounds\, using the same rules. It is up to the IFPA State Representative as to whether matches will be played out to determine 5th through 16th (or 24th) place. \nPlanned Lineup (subject to change): \nOLD:\nVolley\nGrand Prix\nFathom\nLaser Cue\nMedusa\nMeteor\nMystic\nSorcerer\nTrident\nWild Fyre Reignyted \nMID:\nAttack From Mars\nCirqus Voltaire\nGame of Thrones (Premium)\nMetallica (Pro)\nThe Walking Dead (Pro)\nTheatre of Magic\nTron: Legacy (Pro) \nNEW:\nFoo Fighters (Pro)\nIron Maiden (Premium)\nJurassic Park (Premium)\nRick and Morty\nRush (Pro)\nTotal Nuclear Annihilation

Main Event finalists who chose to also participate in the Royal Rumble will be subject to an additional $10 entry fee which will go directly to the bonus pot. SUMMARY:The Distance: Pace Match Play Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration Link: May 3rd at Noon https://forms.gle/CysmkvqeqbBpT4Dz8\nTournament Details\n\nJune 21st\, 2025 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.\nThis event will be IFPA sanctioned at an estimated 136% TGP.\nThis event is part of the 2025 Ice Ice Playfield Championship Series. More information at the IIP Page here.\nDoors at 10 AM\, Tournament starts at 11.\nPace Match Play qualifier\, 3  strict/fast strike knockout finals.\nThis tournament is limited to 32 players.\nRegistration will begin May 3rd at noon.\n$30 per player ($15 Main Tournament entry\, $15 house fee (for trophies\, free play\, electricity offset\, snacks and drinks\, and IFPA endorsement fees)) is due via Paypal/Venmo within one week of registration.\n\nWe’re back with a new format — pace matchplay! Think of it as a match play qualifier with a sense of dread: a pace car behind you at all times! Play will be done in balanced pairings all day\, starting on a long play game and alternating each round between shorter and longer playing games. Scoring will be 7-5-3-1\, or 7-4-1 in 3 player groups\, for each round. \nAt the end of the 7th round\, the pace will become active at 22 points. All players below the pace line will be eliminated\, and all players above the pace line will play again. Each round\, the pace line goes up 7 points. Win your next round and you’re safe for sure — anything else\, and you better hope you banked up enough points to continue! \nPlay will continue until we conclude a round at 12 players (or fewer!). The remaining players will start a 3 strike elimination final. Initial seedings will carry over\, and first round arenas will be chosen by the highest seeds in each group. Pairing for that first round will be slaughter based on pace standings. From the second round on\, pairings will be swiss\, and arenas will cycle between fast and short games. Strikes will be given out in strict (or “fast”) strike pairings: The bottom 2 players in each game will receive a strike (for both 3 and 4 player groups). \nThis is a new format\, but we have some guesses on how long this will take. We expect to get down to 12 players in the pace portion in about 10 rounds (roughly 4 to 4.5 hours)\, with people being eliminated after round 7 (roughly 3 hours in). Strikes will depend on how many players make it through\, but we expect about 8 rounds to crown a champion (around 2 and a half to 3 hours). These are estimates\, but you’re guaranteed at least 7 rounds of play and you might be here longer. It should be fun and tense the whole way\, but if you are sensitive to time\, please note that our estimates are\, at best\, guesstimates for this one. \nPlayers who have Registered (manually updated\, please be patient)\n\nDerek Correia (TD\, Paid)\nJordan Knights (Paid)\nAshley Carroll (paid)\nChris “Butt Munch” Brunette (paid)\nJoe Lemire (cash)\nVince Vitiello (paid)\nMike Gaudet (paid)\nDerek Carroll (paid)\nSeth Gouin (paid)\nJeffrey Pinard (paid)\nMitch Gagnon (paid)\nCourtney Bazarian (paid)\nEric O’Keefe (paid)\nJulia Barnes-Brown (paid)\nJeremy Gagnon (paid)\nWill Parks (paid)\nWyatt Winters (paid)\nCody Erickson (paid)\nZheanna Murray (paid)\nMischa Ayer (paid)\nCody Gamache (paid)\nMatt Lemoine (paid)\nMichael Corbett (paid)\nDave Lawton (paid)\nEva Ashton (paid)\nZachary Holt (paid)\nKim Musgrave (paid)\nColeman Papa-Musgrave (paid)\nMicah Weston (paid)\nJoshua Moran (cash)\nTim Pelletier (paid)\nAlan Maclean\n\n  \nWaitlist\n\nCam Harrahy\n\nNotified\, no response\n\n\n\nRegistration\n\nRegistration will begin Saturday\, May 3rd at 12 Noon.\nAt that time\, the registration link posted above will activate. SUMMARY:NPC at TLP: Northeast Pinball Challenge League
DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration Link: https://forms.gle/W6nm91Uc6uRCvZKK9\nTournament Details\n\nTuesday Nights starting July 15th! Doors at 6\, League Promptly at 7:30\nThis league will be IFPA sanctioned at 200% TGP.\nThis league is part of the Northeast Pinball Challenge. Read all about it at NPCPinball.org\nThis league is limited to 32 total players.\n$30 per player is the league fee for the 7 weeks of league. Each night will have a $10 door fee to help cover snacks and all games being on free play.\n\nSummer is here\, and with no leagues out there\, NPC is here to keep the ball rolling. Each league night will start with doors open at 6\, and play beginning at 7:30. Players will be matched in groups of 3 or 4 and play 4 games of pinball each night. Each player will choose a game at the start of the night. In 3 player groups\, the 4th game will be randomly assigned. Player order will rotate each game. Games will be tracked in Match Play. Games will be scored 7-5-3-1 (or 7-4-1). Games will be on after league until about 10 PM\, when we kick y’all out 🙂 \nPlay will continue for 7 weeks\, but your best 5 weeks will count for standings\, meaning you can skip 2 weeks and not be disadvantaged. You must be in the top 50% of players to make A finals and play a minimum of 4 weeks. We will hold both A finals for the top qualified folks AND B finals on Tuesday\, September 9th. The four highest players who can attend Grand Finals on September 13th will advance to Grand Finals to play for individual glory and Team TLP in the Team Finals! Details are all on NPCPinball.org \nUnique (I think?) to us: If you make it to Grand Finals and attend\, I will buy you a TLP t-shirt. It probably won’t be here in time\, but I mean\, it’s a nice gesture. \nLeague Nights:\n\nTuesday\, July 15th\nTuesday\, July 22nd\nTuesday\, July 29th\nTuesday\, August 5th\nTuesday\, August 12th\nTuesday\, August 19th\nTuesday\, August 26th\nLocation Finals: Tuesday\, September 9th\nNPC Grand Finals: Saturday\, September 13th at TLP!\n\nWe will have a max of 32 players for league\, so please sign up at the form above. NPC dues ($30) can be paid in advance or at your first league night\, but must be paid before you can play. \nPlease note: If this is your first time playing at The Lower Playfield — we are in Goffstown\, NH. An address will be sent along with general information for the location the week prior to league with directions to the e-mail you registered at. Any other players will be allowed to play in B finals. \n“A” finals will be 4 player groups of 3 games. The highest seed in the group will be able to pick the final game. Game 1 will be a random modern\, and game 2 will be a random classic. Highest seed will have play order choice for game 1\, followed by seed order until all places are selected. After game 1\, the player who finished 4th will pick play order on the next game\, followed the player who finished 3rd\, and so on. The highest seed’s picked game can not be picked by that player again if they should advance to finals (though it may be randomly assigned). Scoring for finals games will be 4-2-1-0. \n“B” finals players will get seeded in a head-to-head bracket based on season finishing position. Depending on the number of players in B\, some players may get a first round bye. The players will play a best-of-3 game set\, with the highest seed picking the first game and the other player having pick of player order. After each game\, the player who lost will be able to pick the next game\, and the other player will pick player order. There are no restrictions on game selections other than the same game cannot be played in the 3-game set more than once. SUMMARY:The Lower Playfield 3rd Anniversary All-Playoff Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Pre-Registration Link: https://forms.gle/weCngTjTozCXUVS98 (Opens 10/25)\nTournament Details\n\nNovember 15th\, 2025 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.\nIt’s a celebration! Complimentary Champagne/Sparkling Fruit Juice toast at the start of the day!\nThis event is part of the 2025 Ice Ice Playfield Championship Series. More information at the IIP Page here.\nThis event will be IFPA sanctioned at an estimated 120% TGP.\nDoors at 10 AM\, Tournament starts at 11.\n3 hour and 33 minute Flip Frenzy! All players move on to one of two finals!\nThis tournament is limited to 32 players.\nRegistration will begin October 25th at noon.\n$35 per player ($20 Main Tournament entry\, $10 house fee (for trophies\, free play\, electricity offset\, snacks and drinks\, and IFPA endorsement fees)) is due via Paypal/Venmo within one week of registration.\n\nWe’ve made it to three years! We loved last year’s party so we’re bringing it back fully and completely. The only tournament each year where EVERYONE makes a final for prizes! \nPlayers should be ready to do a lot of ballin’\, as we’re bringing back Flip Frenzy! Two players play on a random game of all the games at TLP head to head! Player 1 will log the results (who won/lost) at the central computer at the bar\, then be told who their next opponent is! After playing 2 games\, take a short break in the queue for a few minutes until your next game! At the conclusion\, the top 16 will move on to a final\, and the bottom 16 will also move on to a final! Ties will be broken by win differential\, followed by most wins. Anyone tied in differential on the line between the two finals will play a tiebreaker on Meteor. If Meteor is unavailable\, the TD will select a game for tiebreakers. \nThe top 16 players at the end of the frenzy will go on to a three game\, random draw bank of 2 Classics\, 1 Modern game scored 4-2-1-0. Highest Seed will have choice of order for all 3 games\, followed by second highest seed\, and so on. The top 2 players from each group will go on until we reach the final 4\, and those 4 players will get cash prizes! \nNot in the top 16? You also make a (non-IFPA results-changing) playoff! These players will compete in a head to head bracket where the higher seed will pick a game not in use from the other finals or play order. The winner of that game will progress on in the bracket. The top 3 players in the Not-Top16 bracket will ALSO get a cash prize! \nBecause Derek takes on too many projects at once\, we still have 5 of our 2nd Anniversary posters from last year! Limited to 25 total\, hand numbered\, unframed\, and pressed on 80# card stock. Designed by professional poster artist and friend of TLP\, Jeff LaChance (Primus\, QOTSA\, Faith No More\, Melvins\, and many\, many more). They will be available to registrants when registration opens\, at the same $20 we sold them for last year. Didja miss the ringmaster last year? This could be your last chance (I’m sitting on like\, 3 more… for some point in time). Please\, if you won or purchased one last year\, refrain from registering for one this year. SUMMARY:2025 Ice Ice Playfield Grand Championship
DESCRIPTION:Tournament Details\n\nDecember 13th\, 2025 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.\nThis event will be IFPA sanctioned.\nThis event is exclusive to the top 16 players of the 2025 Ice Ice Playfield Series. More information at the IIP Page here.\nDoors at 10 AM\, Tournament starts at 11.\nTarget matchplay to 20 points (4-3-2-1) until 8 players hit the target. Three Slow Strikes Knockout for the top 8 (0-0-1-1 and 0-0-1) til a champion.\n\nThis is it. The 2025 Ice Ice Playfield Championship will crown the ultimate winner of the IIP series. The tournament will be restricted to the 16 top points earners in the series who confirm their attendance. There is no entry fee or house fee for participants\, though we’d ask that you optionally donate a $10 house fee that will be split between IIA and TLP if you’d like. \nPlayers will be seeded based on their finishing order in the series. Rounds will proceed in this order: \n\nIn the first round\, high seeds will pick from any game available at TLP to play on.\nIn the second and third rounds\, pairings will be balanced (this initially said tiered swiss which is not possible\, as there’s no set rounds). The highest seed will pick the arena. Arena picks can not be repeated during the target matchplay phase.\nFrom the fourth round on\, arena selection will be made by balanced matchplay draw. Pairings from round four on will be full swiss.\nGames will be scored 4-3-2-1.\n\nWhen a player hits the target score\, they will be qualified for the finals until 8 players hit the target. If the target is hit by multiple players in the same round\, the only tiebreaker will be total points earned. If players cross at the same point total on the 8 player border\, they will be assigned a random classic arena as a tiebreaker. \nThe top 8 players will move on to strikes final. For the final\, arenas will be restricted to arenas in The Lower Playfield (aka the basement). Player seedings will be based on their performance in the target matchplay portion. If players tie for the same points and rounds\, the tiebreaker will be their initial seed. Groupings will be swissed initially based on seed. The highest seed will pick from any available and unpicked arena (or\, optionally defer arena choice for choice of position). Arena picks can not be repeated by a player throughout the strikes portion. Strikes will be 1 strike to 3rd and 4th place in 4 player groups\, and 3rd place in 3 player groups. \nSubsequent rounds will be swissed by strikes. Lowest strikes in the group will pick arena (if equal strikes\, strikes seeding will be the tiebreaker). Play will continue until one player remains! \nThis tournament will be streamed on Twitch and recorded for YouTube. \nFinal IIP standings are here: https://app.matchplay.events/series/3896 \nThe following players have been contacted to RSVP: \nNoah Crable\nJoe Lemire\nZoe Vrabel\nZheanna Murray\nBrian O’Neill\nVincent Vitiello\nCody Gamache\nJames McFatter\nWyatt Winters\nAlan Maclean\nChris Brunette\nAnthony Kret\nJoshua Moran\nDerek Correia\nErik Haynes\nJeff Pinard\n—-\nJeremy Gagnon\nEric Geddes\nMatt Lemoine\nSeth Gouin\nDrew Dolan\nLindsay Cole\nMicah Weston\nWill Parks \nConfirmed Attendees (manually updated after the series)\n\nDerek Correia (confirmed\, top 16)\nWyatt Winters (confirmed\, top 16)\nErik Haynes (confirmed\, top 16)\nAnthony Kret (confirmed\, top 16)\nChris Brunette (confirmed\, top 16)\nJosh Moran (confirmed\, top 16)\nJoe Lemire (confirmed\, top 16)\nVince Vitiello (confirmed\, top 16)\nAlan Maclean (confirmed\, top 16)\nZoe Vrabel (confirmed\, top 16)\nZheanna Murray (confirmed\, top 16)\nCody Gamache (confirmed\, top 16)\nJeffrey Pinard (confirmed\, top 16)\nBrian O’Neill (confirmed\, top 16)\nJames McFatter (confirmed\, top 16)\nNoah Crable (confirmed\, top 16)\n\nWaitlist\n\nJeremy Gagnon (Confirmed\, awaiting more RSVPs\, waitlist 1 seed)\nEric Geddes (Confirmed\, awaiting more RSVPS\, waitlist 2 seed)\nDrew Dolan (Confirmed\, awaiting more RSVPs)\nLindsay Cole (Confirmed\, awaiting more RSVPs)\nWill Parks (Confirmed\, awaiting more RSVPs)\n\n\nHouse Rules and Event FAQ\nThe Lower Playfield Code of Conduct\nCurrent Game List and Game Setup Guide\nPrize Schedule\nThe total fees collected for IIP in 2025 was $341. \nFirst Prize will take home $200. \nSecond: $100 \nThird: $41 and a voucher for a free house fee ($15 or less) at Ice Ice Arcade or The Lower Playfield \nFourth: Voucher for a free tournament entry fee ($35 or less) at Ice Ice Arcade or The Lower Playfield
