DESCRIPTION:Registration: Now Open: https://forms.gle/5pqCeVLTddVqJ3nB6\nTournament Details\n\nSeptember 21st\, 2024 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.\nDoors at 10:00 AM\, Tournament starts promptly at 11:00.\n32 player limit\nThis event is IFPA sanctioned\, at an anticipated 192% TGP.\n6 Rounds of Classic Concentration Sets (Classic\, Modern\, Classic) with Tiered Swiss Pairing\, followed by top 8 advancing to similar set finals.\nInitial seeds will be IFPA rank to smooth initial groups.\nRegistration begins at Noon Eastern on August 31st.\n$30 per player ($20 prize pool\, $9 house fee for free play\, electricity offset\, snacks and drinks\, $1 IFPA Endorsement fee) is due via Paypal/Venmo within 72h of registration. Cash at door accepted for players who have played 2 tournaments in the last year here — you must contact Derek or Jordan to make arrangements if you’re paying cash at door or some other way.\n\nHonoring the great Alex Trebek\, a tournament with a Classics Concentration. Players will be in Jeopardy as they battle 3 other players in a three game set: A classic\, a modern\, and a classic! Each game will be scored 7-5-3-1. Rounds continue for 6 total rounds in a Tiered Swiss pairing. After that\, the top 8 players will Reach For the Top in the finals\, using the same format with 4-2-1-0 scoring. The top 2 from each group will be High Rollers \, advancing to the finals to do it one more time to crown a champion. \nFor the purposes of this tournament\, these games will be considered classics and in the “classic” pool: \n\nGrand Prix (1976)\nVolley (1976)\nWild Fyre Reignyted (1978-ish)\nMeteor (1979)\nMystic (1979)\nTrident 2020 (1979-ish)\nFathom (1981)\nMedusa (1981)\nLaser Cue (1984)\nSorcerer (1985)\n\nPlayers eliminated in the first round of the finals will be Double Dare’d to play a classics ladder of 3 games\, with the lowest player eliminated after each game. Those eventually finishing in 5th and 6th will be rewarded as well. \nWe will run a game of prize money stallball for all before the finals get underway\, and you’re of course welcome to stay and play freeplay after the tourney ends for a bit as well! \nWe anticipate\, based on past tournaments\, the Matchplay portion to take roughly 5 to 6 hours\, and the finals to take an additional two hours.
