Tournament Details

• March 7th, 2026 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.
• This event will be IFPA sanctioned at an estimated 128% TGP. As this is an IFPA sanctioned tournament, we will not be accepting IFPA opt-outs for this event.
• Doors at 10 AM, Tournament starts at 11.
• Pace Matchplay: 7 guaranteed rounds, 22 point pace, +7 per round. Group Matchplay Final for top 8.
• This tournament is limited to 32 players.
• Registration will begin Saturday, February 21st at Noon.
• $35 per player ($20 Main Tournament entry, $15 house fee (for trophies, free play, electricity offset, snacks and drinks, and IFPA endorsement fees)) is due via Paypal/Venmo within one week of registration.

TLP is back in 2026 with our second ever Pace Match Play tournament! Think of it as a match play qualifier with a sense of dread: a pace car behind you at all times! Play will be done in balanced pairings all day, starting on a shorter play game and alternating each round between shorter and longer playing games. Scoring will be 7-5-3-1, or 7-4-1 in 3 player groups, for each round.

At the end of the 7th round, the pace will become active at 22 points. All players below the pace line will be eliminated, and all players above the pace line will play again. Each round, the pace line goes up 7 points. Win your next round and you’re safe for sure — anything else, and you better hope you banked up enough points to continue!

Play will continue until we conclude a round at 8 players (or fewer!). We will take the top 8 players into the finals and will tiebreak for anyone in the top two seeds. If we end with less than 8 players (likely), seeding for top 8 will be the number of points scored in the round prior to elimination. In the case of any ties for the 8th spot, we will tiebreak on a classic (short play) game.

Top 8 will move on to a 3 game a round final scored 4-2-1-0 a game. Games will be a random drawn long play and short play game, while the top seed in the group will have choice of game 3 at the start of the round. Game choice can not be repeated in the final. Play order in the final rounds will be same each game and will be chosen by high seed, descending, prior to the first game.

Based on our prior pace tournament and other tournaments, we expect that the pace portion will take between 4 to 5 hours (though some players may be eliminated earlier!), and the finals for the last 8 should wrap up in 90 to 120 minutes.

• Registration will begin Saturday, February 21st at Noon.
• At that time, the registration link posted above will activate. Please open the form ahead of time and refresh the form if you are trying to register at open.
• If you registered and can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible!
• Once we hit our player cap, we will maintain a wait list and will contact you directly at the e-mail you provided during registration should a spot become available. You aren’t required to pay or under any obligation to attend if you are contacted off the waitlist. If you’re on the waitlist and can no longer make it, please feel free to let us know!
• Once your name appears in the registered list above, please pay your entry fee within 1 week of registration to either:

• After the 1 week prior, your entry is refundable less the house fee portion. Thank you for your understanding.

Prize Schedule

Assuming a full field of 32 players, the payouts will be:

• 1st: $175
• 2nd: $135
• 3rd: $100
• 4th: $80
• 5th through 8th: $25 each
• $50 from house fees and $50 from door fees will be donated to charity. We will randomly draw a player’s name at the start of the tournament and they can choose a registered charity to receive $50. From house fees, $50 will be donated to the New Hampshire chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.
