The Lower Playfield Basement Bash

Tournament Details

• June 22nd, 2024 at the Lower Playfield in Goffstown NH.
• This event will be IFPA sanctioned at an anticipated 128% TGP.
• Doors at 10 AM, Tournament starts at 11.
• 5 Rounds of game pairs (Modern-ish and Classic-ish pairs), followed by a 8 player playoff.
• This tournament is limited to 32 players.
• Registration will begin June 8th at 12:30 PM.
• $30 per player ($20 Main Tournament entry, $10 house fee (for trophies, free play, electricity offset, snacks and drinks, and IFPA endorsement fees)) is due via Paypal/Venmo within one week of registration.

Looking for a more casual, shorter, fun afternoon of pinball? You’re looking for the Basement Bash! We’ve heard that players wanted a quicker, and shorter format but still a fun full pinball sesh. The bash is a balance of all good things. 5 rounds of double up game pairs (Play 2 games with the same group) before shuffling up the groups in balanced pairs until all 5 rounds are complete. The top 8 players will make the finals. Seeding will be tiebroken by most game wins, followed by most game 2nd places. Any ties for entry to the top 8 will be tiebroken by playing a single game to get in to the finals.

Finals will be 3 game (4-2-1-0 scored) pre-created banks that the highest seed will choose. Order for the first game will be chosen by the second highest seed, followed by the third highest, then the lowest seed. After the first game of the bank, order choices will be made by the player that finished 4th the prior game, then the 3rd place finisher, 2nd place finisher, and the prior game’s winner. The top 2 finishers in each group will advance until the final 4!

We expect the qualifying rounds to be roughly 4 to 4.5 hours, and the finals to take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours in total for both rounds.

• Registration will begin June 8th at 12:30 PM.
• At that time, the registration link posted above will activate. Please open the form ahead of time and refresh the form if you are trying to register at open.
• If you registered and can’t make it, please let us know as soon as possible!
• Once we hit our player cap, we will maintain a wait list and will contact you directly at the e-mail you provided during registration should a spot become available. You aren’t required to pay or under any obligation to attend if you are contacted off the waitlist. If you’re on the waitlist and can no longer make it, please feel free to let us know!
• Once your name appears in the registered list above, please pay your entry fee within 1 week of registration to either:

  • If you have played here before and can’t pay with cash, we will accept cash the day of tournament. Please e-mail us to let us know you are planning to pay day of after registering. If at all possible, please pay online to help us get all payments organized ahead of time. Thank you!
• All entry fees are fully refundable up to 1 week before the tournament. Just e-mail us at hello@thelowerplayfield.com.
• After the 1 week prior, your entry is refundable less the house fee portion. Thank you for your understanding.

Prize Schedule

Assuming a full field of 32 players, the payouts will be:

• 1st place: $200 plus a trophy
• 2nd: $140
• 3rd: $100
• 4th: $80
• 5th thru 8th: $20
• Two games of Stallball will be run for non-finalists. The winners of those games will win $10 each (one win per player, please!).
• $20 from the prize pool is reserved to help offset trophy costs.
